Assignment 6

Path 2D >> 3D II

Produce a second iteration of the 2D (surface) path as per Assignment 04 using the following additional guidelines:

1. Each of the two paths will be continuous (no forks in the road, so to speak)

2. No angles (ramps) steeper than 45 degrees, and no more than 2 different vertical angles in the assignment.

3. Use economy of means , you want to get from one corner to the other farthest corner, period (no 'sight-seeing' involved). Use ramps to negotiate ‘vertical’ changes (keeping rule #2 in mind). In other words, negotiate the space with fewer, rather than more moves.

Translate the surface paths into spatial paths - as per Assignment 05 - using the following new guideline:

1. The cross section of the spatial path must be between 1/2" to 1"

Submit draft and model FormZ files, and Illustrator files for the format pinned up in studio: 11x17 - A. Interior Spatial Path B. Exterior Spatial Path C. Composite Spatial Paths, 11x17 - A. Interior Surface Path B. Exterior Surface Path C. Composite Surface Paths D. Composite Surface Paths in situ with formal composition.

Be printed and pinned up at the beginning class Monday, September 21.
